Advanced Cosmetic
Procedures

Electrolysis can be used effectively not just to remove unwanted facial hair but also to treat a range of skin blemishes.

Electrolysis has been used for more then a 100 years to treat skin blemishes.

Doctors were using an early type of this treatment in the early 1900's to treat broken capillaries, spider naevi, warts & xanthelasma (yellow pigmented areas found on the eyelids). It has progressed & improved beyond recognition with modern technology & is a safe, comfortable & effective treatment which is much in demand. The technique used is established & proven.

A minimally invasive, highly effective method which requires minimal aftercare & suitable for a wide variety of blemishes.

The procedure is performed through an application of heat called Thermolysis, an electric current & a fine needle with which the blemish is either removed completely, lifted away or is reduced in size to give excellent results after a few weeks of healing. A consultation is necessary before any treatment can be carried out to assess the blemish, a health questionnaire is answered & advice on the aftercare.

Advanced Electrolysis for Skin Blemish Removal

Advanced Electrolysis can remove facial thread veins, milia (white bumps on the face), Campbell De Morgans (blood spots) and skin tags quickly and easily with immediate results, offering an eventual blemish free and smooth skin.
  • Thermolysis is used to treat skin tags by lifting away or removing completely depending on the size of the tags.
  • Milia & blood spots are cauterised to disperse the blemish to heal within 2 - 3 weeks.
  • Facial thread veins & spider naevi are cauterised to reduce the appearance of broken capillaries eventually giving a blemish free & smooth skin.

Advanced Cosmetic Procedure Skin Blemish Removal

Thermolysis can be used further for Advanced Cosmetic Procedures such as mole reduction, warts, verrucas, seborrheic keratosis, sebaceous cyst, syringoma, xanthelasma, dermatosis papulosa nigra. Different techniques are used for different blemishes but in most cases the tip of the needle is used to remove, cauterise or dry up the blemish. There is some discomfort felt and pain threshold varies for individuals and on the areas to be treated.

The treatment is safe and effective with excellent results although multiple treatments are required to reduce or remove these type of blemishes.

  • After the treatment, the skin can be red, slighly swollen, itchy and feel warm depending on the blemish with pin-dot crusts that may appear within 2 days, which must be left to fall off naturally & can start to fall off within a week depending on the individual's unique skin healing.
  • A 3-4 weeks gap is required to treat the same blemish for further treatments.
  • The treated blemish will not return in the same place but if you are prone to a particular type of blemish then it may appear in another area.
